The OpenWhisk Shell is a novel development tool for serverless apps. The shell provides powerful and lucid commands for manipulating assets and viewing activations. Operations are driven through a CLI, allowing for scripted execution and fluid task switching.
Where it has high impact, the shell enriches the CLI experience with graphical elements. Rather than copy-paste, click on a link. Rather than parse JSON in your head, the shell includes visualizations of important, but complex, data. It also has a unique take on context, allowing for a more conversational approach to command execution.
The shell is based on Electron. It runs locally, giving you filesystem access and a generally snappy experience. Below, you will find demos, and an introduction to the commands.
